They'll think it's a game, you know it's coin recognition and sorting rolled into one, plus counting to get their final results and you could even compare {which has more? which has less?}! 
I printed mine on green construction paper to resemble money, but white would work too. First we sorted with real or plastic money to practice, then we used coin printouts to have something to take home. I got the coin images from enchantedlearning.com. For fun the kids could glue their photo in the middle of the oval or draw their own face on the giant money!To download the sort sheet click here: jpeg version pdf version
