Get Egged!

Have you started thinking Spring yet?  My mind can't get there quickly enough and I wish the weather would cooperate and warm up!  One of my favorite parts of Halloween is being BOOed!  It is always such a fun idea and my kids love being sneaky.

Whose kids wouldn't LOVE to see something like this on their front porch?  This year for Easter we will be egging others in our neighborhood.

*Please note: All free printables are only for readers of Creative Preschool Resources . If you enjoy this printable, please take a second to "follow" us to receive email updates or follow via Facebook {top sidebar}. Thank you!

What to do:

  1. Download and print out 2 copies of the "We've Been Egged" and the directions.  There are directions for generic Easter and for a Christian Easter focused on blessing others by leaving them encouraging notes in addition to the treat!

  2. Hide notes or treats in a dozen plastic eggs and secretly hide them in front of 2 houses.  Leave the "We've Been Egged" sign AND the directions in a small basket, cup etc. on the front porch.  You could also leave a yummy treat for the family to share like cookies or homemade bread {just a thought, yeah, I love carbs}.

  3. You can either ring the bell and RUN your tail off {I'm thinking I wouldn't be fast enough anymore for this} OR just leave it on the porch to be DISCOVERED!

Download the generic Easter directions HERE

Download the Christian Easter directions HERE

Have a blast spreading Easter cheer to those around you!  {And don't blame any skinned knees on me}  :-)

**  By request:  Here is a version of I've Been Egged with 4 on a page for use in a school or workplace.  Enjoy!

Fabulous Fractions

Well in the world of preschool, fractions are a foreign concept usually unless it comes to food and real items.  My kids always seem to know when they don't get their fair share of the pizza, mac and cheese, oreo etc.  Introducing the kids to the concept of half and whole is an appropriate skill.  Use these free printables to help your little ones recognize the difference between half and whole.  They could also be used as super simple puzzles for the students to place the correct halves together to form a whole.  Happy math time!

Clover Art

Yup, you've seen kids handprints done into art about a million ways, so here's number 1,000,001 :-).  I used both of my kids prints and their hands are different sizes.  I love using the "heart" type of overlapped hands to make each shamrock leaf.  Super cute,

Felt clover art

Before you read any further... check out my wreath giveaway!  Who doesn't like free stuff?  Now on to St. Patty's Day business.

I had a TON of fun making this little project.  So bright and cheery! I used this Pinterest Pin as my inspiration.  I covered an 8x10 piece of cardboard with a great green fabric, then I made 5 of the cute felt shamrocks.  I promise you felt is easiest...  I made them with paper, with fabric and then with felt as shown on the pin.  Neither the paper nor the fabric worked well.  I then hot glued the shamrocks down, removed the glass from a picture frame and popped it in.  I love the way it's 3-D and adds great color to my St. Patrick's Day mantel!

St Patty's Day Banner Sewing Tutorial

My banner is the finishing touch on my mantel.  I had so much fun sewing it.  I am NOT a seamstress, but I can sew a straight line which is exactly what is needed to make the banner.  As long as you have access to a sewing machine and can sew a straight line, you can make one for yourself too!

Dental Health

Did you know February is dental health month?  With all of the Valentine's candy consumed, I suppose it makes perfect sense.  To help my kiddos remember to brush regularly I created a week long calendar for them to mark their morning and nighttime brushing.  After completing it they get to return it for a special prize.  PDF Download Some good prizes would be:  tooth eraser, pencil, kids flossers, new toothbrushes etc.

We will also be discussing

Wreath GIVEAWAY

I love my St. Patrick's Day inspired wreath so much I'm giving away a mini version of it!    It really is an "anyday" color scheme, so who cares when you put it up.  In fact, when I'm done with it on the front door it will go perfectly in my downstairs bathroom! The mini version is approximately 10 inches in diameter and will have 3 small "clip on" flowers just like the original so the wreath could be interchangable for another season.  I'm all about being dual multi-purpose!  Here is the mini one.  I'm sorry I don't have a fancy camera and this was the best shot I could get this morning.
